Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) FibroSURE (8 hour fast required)
Requires 8 hour of fasting prior to test.
This is the recommended test for Hepatitis C status and liver damage. It provides assessment of liver status following a diagnosis of HCV, as well as baseline determination of liver status before initiating HCV therapy. The test is also used for post-treatment assessment of liver status six months after completion of therapy and noninvasive assessment of liver status in patients who are at increased risk of complications from a liver biopsy.

FibroTest (α2-macroglobulin, haptoglobin, apo lipoprotein A1, bilirubin, γ-glutamyl transpeptidase [GGT]); Acti Test (α2-macroglobulin, haptoglobin, apolipoprotein A1, bili rubin, γ-glutamyl transpeptidase [GGT], alanine aminotransferase [ALT]).
